What: UAA IT Services will be replacing the university's on-campus email servers, beginning Thursday, October 29, at 11 AM, through Thursday, December 10, at 5 PM.
Why: The current email servers have reached the end of vendor support. New servers keep email secure and supported.
Result: Most UAA email is not affected. The on-campus servers handle email sent from campus devices such as copiers, scanners, and some local servers, plus a small number of mailboxes still hosted there.
From Thursday, October 29, at 11 AM through Friday, October 30, at 5 PM, email sent from copiers, scanners, and other campus devices may be delayed. Later in the project, the remaining mailboxes on these servers will be moved; those account holders will be notified by email beforehand. This post will be updated before that stage begins.
Any Issues: If you have trouble sending email from a campus copier, scanner, or other device, or with a mailbox on these servers, don't hesitate to get in touch with the Technical Support Center.
