Update - Network performance is improving but not yet fully resolved

The Vendor found a bad fiber connection in their network and routed around it. They will be doing tests at our sites. Users may experience short interruptions while they validate the circuits.

Identified - We are currently experiencing network performance degradation affecting KRC, KBC, and MSC locations.
Network circuits at these sites are operating at significantly reduced bandwidth (approximately 5 Mbps).

Our engineering team is actively investigating the issue and is working with our service provider to identify the root cause and restore normal performance. At this time, no estimated time to resolution is available.

Further updates will be posted as more information becomes available.

Identified - Microsoft is discontinuing the M365 A1 Plus license, and some users are being transitioned from the M365 A1 "Plus" license to the M365 A1 license. This results in a loss of access to the desktop version of Office 365 applications, but all users should still be able to use the web-based apps at https://m365.cloud.microsoft/apps/ (requires UA login).

This change affects Crafts & Trades staff, Adjunct/Temporary Faculty, and Emeritus Faculty members. If you're not a member of these groups and are experiencing issues with the Microsoft Office suite, please reach out to your campus's IT helpdesk!

Identified - We’ve determined that some new University students, faculty and staff cannot access Microsoft 365 applications upon initial login.

This problem may impact multiple users across the system due to a malfunction in automatic licensing.

We’re working to restore Microsoft 365 automatic licensing however during the interim please contact the Technical Support Center at (907) 786-4646.

Identified - We are aware of an ongoing issue affecting Microsoft A1 Plus licenses. As a result, some users may temporarily lose access to desktop Office applications, especially Adjunct Faculty and Crafts & Trades employees.
However, you can continue to use all Microsoft 365 online apps (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) through your web browser by opening from OneDrive or going to https://m365.cloud.microsoft/create.

Our team is actively working with Microsoft and organizational leadership to identify and implement a long-term solution. We appreciate your patience while this issue is being addressed.

An update will be posted when it is resolved.

Why: To enhance the performance, reliability, and security of our phone system.

What: UAA IT Services will be upgrading the endpoint management system for Apple devices beginning Monday, December 22 at 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM.

Why: To support our vendor's rebranding and upgrade.

Result: UAA owned Apple device users may see a slightly updated login experience when the device is enrolled into the upgraded system.
