Investigating - UAA IT Services is receiving reports that SPSS users are receiving an error message stating:

"Your license renewal date has passed. IBM SPSS Statistics will stop working if a new license is not installed soon."

This is reporting in error and we are working with the vendor to get it resolved. In the meantime, please continue to use the software, as there should be no loss of functionality or access in using it.


We will post again when the issue is resolved.

Identified - We’ve determined that some new University students, faculty and staff cannot access Microsoft 365 applications upon initial login.

This problem may impact multiple users across the system due to a malfunction in automatic licensing.

We’re working to restore Microsoft 365 automatic licensing however during the interim please contact the Technical Support Center at (907) 786-4646.

Copper Valley will be performing Emergency Network Maintenance. This maintenance is required to replace damaged fiber. One service interruption of up to 45-60 minutes is anticipated during the maintenance window.

Convert OnBase clients to use SAML based SSO

Scheduled - Some changes are being made to how users log in to OnBase. After the update, users will no longer use Active Directory (AD) password. Instead, they'll log in using the standard UA SSO (single sign-on) page, the same one used for many other university services.
This change also adds multi-factor authentication (MFA) to OnBase for the first time, which provides an extra layer of security. The update will be rolled out in stages. The OnBase web applications will be updated first, so all web users will see the change at the same time. If you use the OnBase Unity client, you'll need to update a configuration file on your computer, but you can do this at your own pace. If you use the 'Classic' OnBase clients, like the Thick client, the IT department will be working with you directly to help with the transition.

Scheduled - What: UAA IT Services will be changing the "Forgot Password" link on the Microsoft 365 login page beginning Thursday, August 21 at 8 AM to 9:30 AM.

Why: The link will direct people to UA ELMO for password changes.

Result: Changing the link will help direct people to UA ELMO where they will be able to change their password.

Any Issues: If you experience issues changing your password after the the "Forgot Password" link is changed, don't hesitate to get in touch with the Technical Support Center.
